A Look Into Gawvi’s Divorce And Ongoing Controversy

Gawvi

Gawvi, a hip-hop musician, has been dismissed by his company Reach Records after allegations that he sent unwanted and improper photographs to multiple women while married to his wife. The charges surfaced soon after the artist declared his intention to divorce his wife Brianna Azucena, with whom he had been separated since 2020. Following the news, Cataphant, a visual artist, said that Gawvi reportedly transmitted inappropriate photographs to women prior to his split with Azucena.

Reach Records terminated their professional relationship with the artist in reaction to the issue, and he was also removed from the forthcoming We Are Unashamed package tour. Gawvi’s actions were described as “inconsistent” with the record label’s basic principles, according to the label. The business also said that the measure was “essential,” despite the “difficult” choice. Reach Records also requested that their fans pray for the families and persons touched by the crisis.

Meanwhile, the We Are Unashamed tour will apparently continue without Gawvi through March and April, with performances by the label’s other artists such as Lecrae, Andy Mineo, Trip Lee, Tedashii, 1K Phew, Wande, WHATUPRG, and Hulvey.

A Look Into Gawvi’s Divorce And Ongoing Controversy

Gawvi divorced his estranged wife Brianna Azucena on January 30, 2022. The hip-hop singer announced his divorce from his wife in 2020 in a now-deleted Instagram post:

“For years, we tried all we could to make it work, but after seeking the support of friends, family, and therapy, I made the incredibly difficult choice to go on in the manner I believed would be the healthiest.”

The Late Nights singer further said that there is “no controversy or hearsay” in his divorce and that the split is the result of “two adults” coming to a consensual decision. Despite their divorce, the music producer said that they would continue to love their two children and offer the finest atmosphere for them to grow up in. The artist also requested fans to respect his privacy and thanked them for their prayers and support during this trying time.

Cataphant, Azucena’s buddy and visual artist, moved to Twitter shortly after the announcement to call out the Christian hip-hop sensation for suspected inappropriate conduct. She said that while he was still married to Azucena, the singer sent “unwanted” and inappropriate photographs to other women. Cataphant went on to say that her claims were not a “knee-jerk unthinking response.” She said that the singer’s questionable conduct was known to many people for more than a year since he was not excellent at “covering his tracks.”

She further claimed that everyone in Gawvi’s group attempted to address him many times, but he reportedly refused to accept responsibility for his conduct. Cataphant went so far as to brand the artist a “textbook narcissist” and a “liar.”

In addition, he removed the bulk of his social media postings and accounts. At the time of writing, the singer had likewise remained silent on the charges.
