Alex Guarnaschelli And Michael Castellon Have Split After Being Together For 5 Years

According to a Closer exclusive, the Chopped judge Alex Guarnaschelli and fiancé Michael Castellon have split and called it quits after five years of engagement. After their breakup, Michael stated to Closer, “I wish her just the best.” Alex met the Guy’s Grocery Games participant over dinner at the restaurant where she worked. Four years after they started dating, the Chopped judge and the chef engaged in June 2020.

The history of Chopped judge Alex Guarnaschelli and chef Michael Castellon’s relationship

The couple had been dating for four years before getting engaged in June 2020. The Chopped judge had shared a photo of the emerald ring on Instagram with the caption:

“All right, @chefmike808, you’re in!”

In a 2000 interview with People, the Chopped judge said that they were not in a rush to marry, but she was looking forward to a large celebration:

“We’re not in a rush, but I’d want to have a blowout.” “I’m looking for a tri-state rager.”

She also told how her former boyfriend, Michael Castellon, proposed to her. She explained how he played on her gullibility to pull off the surprise proposal:

“It’s strange, I think one of the reasons we’ve been together for four years is because he’ll tell me anything and I’ll believe him.” I get all riled up, and then he just bursts out laughing, which he does all the time over everything.”

The two were preparing a socially-distanced get-together with some friends to celebrate Guarnaschelli’s birthday when she abruptly drove to the grocery store to pick up some additional bread for a cheese platter. According to Guarnaschelli, Castellon pulled over and informed her he had seen a newborn deer when the two were driving back from the shop. When they went to search for the infant deer, Castellon proposed, saying:

“There are no deer. This is why I had to marry you because you always believe me. “Are you willing to marry me?”

Guarnascheeli formerly married Brandon Clark, with whom she had a 12-year-old daughter named Ava. The Chopped judge also revealed to People that Castellon sought Ava’s permission before marrying her mother. She also expressed her excitement at matching Castellon in an Instagram post about how much she missed her father. She stated:

“I lost my father about two years ago. He’d have delighted to watch this. (Mike) said that he would have requested permission. I’m not sure whether my father ever said “OK” to anybody! He’d be proud of Mike for asking. All I want to say is that I miss my father. We all suffer from loss, and this is a happy time I share with my father’s memories.”

Guarnaschelli responded to a fan inquiry on her Instagram story about a skill or ability she wishes he had by saying:

“I’m not a sucker for love.”
The Chopped judge then answered another question on any regrets she could have had. She stated:

“Some of my worst regrets have occurred in the past few years.” I honestly haven’t been able to absorb them all gracefully or effectively. For recovery, I utilize cooking, counseling, exercise, friends, sleep, water, time, tears, and cake.” Alex has yet to comment on the story, and neither has made an official statement on their separate social media profiles.
