After many losses, Canadian actor Alexander Ludwig and his wife Lauren are expecting their first child together. On Saturday, February 11, the 30-year-old actor shared a mirror photo of the couple caressing Lauren’s baby belly as their dog, Yam, sat alongside them on Instagram.

Along with that, the actor included a lengthy caption that read:

“It’s been a long journey, and we wanted to wait until things looked positive this time.”

They stated that the kid would be born in May 2023.

Lauren Ludwig, Alexander Ludwig’s wife, is the inventor of the gender-neutral jewelry business THEIR.

Lauren Ludwig was born on December 16, 1991, in Canada. According to her Instagram account, she is the creator of THEIR, a gender-neutral jewelry firm that uses recycled materials. She oversaw marketing efforts for VRAI, a luxury goods and jewelry business located in Los Angeles. On the personal front, Alexander Ludwig and Lauren announced their romance on Instagram in July 2020. The Hunger Games actor proposed in November of the same year, and the couple married. In December 2020, they married in The Lodge, just outside of Salt Lake City.

On Instagram, Alexander Ludwig announced the news, writing:

“We made the decision to elope. It’s been a tumultuous year, but it’s definitely put things in perspective. Life is too short, and I didn’t want to go another day without being able to name this beautiful lady my wife.”

In a recent Instagram post announcing their pregnancy, Alexander Ludwig disclosed that the couple had endured three miscarriages before their current pregnancy, “but each of those losses taught us about ourselves and each other.” They did, however, reassure miscarriage victims that they are not alone and that “there is light on the other side of your journey.” Lauren revealed in an open Instagram post in May 2022 that the couple had experienced a third pregnancy loss.

“Last week, @alexanderludwig and I had our third miscarriage. I chose to share since I don’t believe it’s a disgrace to speak about it. I want to let people understand how frequent miscarriages are and that they are not anything to be ashamed of.”

She went on to say that after such a traumatic loss, she discovered she wasn’t alone, and that, although it’s common, “it’s not spoken about nearly enough.”

“Perhaps if more of us spoke about these things, we’d feel less alone and at fault. I believe that knowledge is power, and I want to start sharing more of it.”

Alexander Ludwig’s future appearances will be in Marked Men and The Covenant.
