Asakura Hao- Bio, Voice Actor, Quotes, Mother, Power & Abilities

Asakura Hao

Asakura Hao is the main antagonist in the manga and anime series Shaman King. He was born in Japan during the Heian era as Douji Asaha. During his third life, he was reborn as the twin brother of his descendant Asakura Yoh. He is the current Shaman King and the series’ most powerful shaman.

Asakura Hao’s voice actor

Minami Takayama, a Japanese voice actor, provided her voice for Asakura, while Sebastian Arcelus provided his voice for the English version of this character.

Asakura Hao Personality

During his first life, he was surrounded by the unpredictability of a corrupted and uncaring Heian nobility that wreaked havoc on the country and drove it into poverty. He saw the world as bleak and dark until he met Ohachiyo, a small demon who taught him all the positive aspects of life. Ohachiyo became a permanent part of Hao after an accident with Hao’s first Over-Soul and cursed him with a dangerous Reishi ability. Hao was aloof to those around him in his teen years, having witnessed the capital’s corruption and greed, but as he grew into an adult, he became a relatively peaceful man who sought to help those around him, and the Asakura Family prospered as a result. Because of his gentle and kind nature, he took in the cat Matamune, whom he considered his only friend.

His Reishi abilities, on the other hand, grew in power and eventually outgrew his ability to control them. Because he couldn’t turn his Reishi off, the flood of negativity eventually created an “Oni” within his own heart. The internal turmoil and disorder caused by his desire to establish the Shaman Kingdom on Earth eventually drove him to become the Shaman King in order to achieve this main goal.

In his third and most recent incarnation, Hao is usually calm, cruel, and always smiles. When he is truly angry, which is extremely rare, The Spirit Of Fire usually kills and burns the person he is angry with down to their soul. He also enjoys Shaman Fights, particularly those involving powerful Shamans and Asakura Yoh. He isn’t just interested in that; he also declares that when Yoh reaches his limits, he and Yoh will merge to form the strongest Shaman.

He had expressed a dislike for being addressed by family titles, glaring coldly at Yoh when he addressed him as “Nii-chan” (Big brother) and requesting that his nephew Hana stop addressing him as “Uncle,” though he would later address both in the same manner. Despite his reservations about humanity, Hao adored his mother, whose death triggered his deep hatred and resentment of the human race.

According to Hao, the primary cause of societal corruption is money. He refuses to use it and instructs his group to follow the philosophy of total self-sufficiency, even if it means stealing something.

Asakura Hao Appearance

Hao is Yoh’s older twin brother and ancestor, and they share many physical characteristics, particularly facial features and body structure, as well as dark brown hair and brown eyes. Hao’s hair is much longer than Yoh’s, reaching past his waist, and he is slightly taller and more muscular. He frequently wears a pale yellow poncho cloak that covers only his upper body and reveals nothing underneath.

He’s dressed in two sections of dark red baggy pants with three straps on each leg and shoes with two studs protruding from the toes, as well as a pair of black with red lining fingerless gloves with four small protrusions where the knuckles are imprinted with his own name. He also has the Five Point Star embroidered on his belt, as well as straps lined with it. He also has medium-gauge stud earrings with a five-pointed star pattern on his ears. When Hao uses the Over-Soul or his Yin Yang Jutsu, his hair folds up into several spikes.

When out in public, Hao wears dark blue jeans and a half-buttoned white shirt with oversized collars and cuffs.

Power And Strength

As an ancient shamanic master who has died and reincarnated twice, Hao has a tremendously overwhelming level of Furyoku in his current life, 1,250,000 in total.
[Page four] According to Asakura Yohmei, he was so powerful in his previous life that even the most powerful Shikigamis swore allegiance to him.

Onmyodo

Since his first life, Hao’s original taijutsu master abilities have given him complete control over the elements and divination powers. He has the ability to manipulate the six elements of nature, fire, earth, wood, metal, and water, not only materially but also spiritually, as demonstrated by his temporary transformation of the Spirit of Fire into the Spirit of Water. Even without the spirit of fire, Hao possesses great elemental and divination abilities, and he can easily bend oni and demigods to his will.

However, with the addition of the Spirit of Fire, one can only assume that he will be able to greatly increase the circular properties of his art by using it as a power source. The spirit of fire, on the other hand, primarily uses physical attacks, though its fire attributes have occasionally been used in combat.

Because he is fond of the element fire, Hao is rarely seen using his taijutsu arts in both the manga and anime series. Nonetheless, his Onmyodo abilities, combined with the Spirit of Fire forms, give him an Over-Soul that is only second in power to the Great Spirit.

Shamanic Techniques

Hao possesses a vast arsenal of shamanic techniques and spells as a result of his previous two lives as an Onmyouji and a Patch priest of the Patch tribe, and he was reborn with all of his previous two lives’ knowledge.

Reishi

This ability allows you to read other people’s thoughts and feelings. Despite its usefulness, Hao was unable to control it and was constantly bombarded with the thoughts of those around him. Though he initially used it to alleviate human suffering, he began to see the darker side of human nature when he discovered, through his reishi, that those he assisted were jealous and afraid of his own power and convinced them that he was evil.

He eventually became enraged by humanity and set out to create a world populated solely by shamans. According to Hao, the ability stems from a strong sense of loneliness. He retains the ability in each of his incarnations until he is confronted by every spirit he has ever met; shortly after, Anna informs him that he is unable to read minds because he is no longer lonely as a result of meeting Yoh, who had the same effect on her.

Taizan Fukun no Sai

The shaman must master all five elements of the pentagram and defeat the seventy-five lords of Hell in order to reach Taizan Fukun and bargain with him. Hao was able to reincarnate five hundred years later as a Patch Tribe member, and then five hundred years later as a Patch Tribe member.

Curse Reflection:

Curse Reflection was used only once, during the military’s invasion of the secret patch island, when Amano Teruko attempted to use her special skill, “2’O Clock Curse,” which severely backfired and nearly killed her instantly. Hao appears to have used this technique unknowingly, as he showed no signs of recognizing her presence.

Asakura Hao History:

First Life

When he was born in Japan, his mother, Douji Asanoha, named him Douji Asaha. His mother, Asanoha, was however murdered by a group of humans who mistook her for a demon. After his house was burned down, Asaha wandered and lived aimlessly by himself, believing himself to be a boy with strange demonic powers who planned to exterminate all humankind. He met Ohachiyo, a spirit while sitting by a gate one day, and they quickly became friends. Ohachiyo gave him the nickname “Douji Mappa” after noticing the similarity between Asaha’s and Asanoha’s names. The demon persuaded Asaha to put his vengeance aside and concentrate on the positive aspects of his new life. Ohachiyo taught him various skills such as fishing, writing, and, most importantly, the dangerous Reishi ability.

For a brief moment, Asaha kept his word and went about his business with a smile on his face. When a guard overheard him talking to himself in the middle of the night, he assumed he was a demon and reported him to Monk Densen Hoshi. Densen challenged Hao, but he was exposed as a liar and easily defeated. He committed his first murder after recognizing the man as the murderer of his mother. Due to his Furyoku depletion, Asaha was unable to maintain control of his Over Soul and unintentionally consumed Ohachiyo’s power.

Asanoha ended up on the streets of Kyoto, where he was discovered unconscious by an Onmyji Hamo Tadatomo and his apprentice Daitaro. Hamo was looking for Asaha because he was the source of a large number of Onis summoned in the area. Tadatomo took Asaha in as an apprentice after he had cleared out all the Onis and saw his potential.

Tadatomo used Asaha’s fellow apprentice, Daitaro, as a test subject in order to create a human Shikigami hybrid that regular humans could see at a yearly ceremony for exorcising the capital of Onis. Asaha tried to intervene but was thwarted by Tadatomo’s Shikigami until Tadatomo was killed by Daitaro, causing them to vanish. Despite the advice of their aides to flee, Asaha decided to surpass Tadatomo by defeating Daitaro and controlling him with the Onis within his own body. His abilities earned him the title of Kyoto’s guardian over the next five years, and he was given the name Asakura Hao, which was inspired by his position.

As a result of his childhood experiences, Hao developed into a talented Onmyoji and founded the Asakura Family in Kyoto. Because he was lonely, Hao created Onis all the time, but that wasn’t a problem because he could control them. During this time, Hao met Matamune, a stray cat. Matamune was Hao’s only friend, and Hao bestowed some of his spiritual energy on him in the hope that he would remain with him forever.

Nonetheless, Ohachiyo’s curse on Hao was permanent, and it eventually drove Hao insane. The Shaman King would eventually catch Hao’s eye. Because of his plans to wipe out humanity, the Asakura family expelled him, but he stayed in Kyoto and founded a branch of the Asakura Family. He was eventually killed by one of his own relatives during the Shaman Fights.

Second Life (SL)

By allowing him to control the circumstances of his reincarnation, Hao’s Yin-Yang Jutsu, or mastery of the five elements, saved him from permanent death. He was able to gain control of his soul by using Taizan Kuzun’s ritual. Though defeating the seventy-five Lords of Hell was required to reach Taizan Kuzun, signing a contract with him grants the ability to resurrect the dead or reincarnate at will.

Hao then chose to reincarnate as a member of the Patch Tribe, the people who put on the Shaman King Tournament and later stole the Spirit of Fire from them. During his time as a Patch, he was married and had a child. Hao easily defeated many formidable foes with the help of his new guardian ghost, including the four Seminoa Warriors, who had learned of his plans and decided to stop him.

He tried again to promote his vision of a Shaman world but was turned down by the shamans he was attempting to recruit. He had the same plans as Asakura Yohken and Matamune to rule the world and kill everyone, but Asakura Yohken and Matamune stopped him. Despite the fact that he died before ascending to the position of Shaman King, he was successful in capturing the legendary Spirit of Fire to serve as his guardian ghost in his next life. When the Patch Tribe realized they were now without a priest, they allowed his wife and child to live in order to continue the Patch Priest line. As a result, Silva of the Ten Patch Officiants was born several generations later from Hao’s lineage.

Third Life

After being killed as a member of the Patch, he chooses to be reborn into his original bloodline in order to become much stronger. Hao’s late actions were predicted by Asakura Yohmei, and it was decided that he would be killed upon his rebirth.

Yohmei paused briefly before striking the infant, allowing Hao to summon the Spirit of Fire. Mikihisa put himself in harm’s way after Hao tried to kill Yohmei with a punch and was badly burned in the process. Hao then instructed Keiko to remain motionless because he did not want his vital “Other Half” to die before she was born. With these words, he laughed and then vanished.

After fleeing the Asakura family, he was apparently raised by Brocken Meyer. When he was five years old, he and Brocken left in search of new henchmen. Wherever Hao went, he left a trail of destruction in his wake. When Lyserg’s parents tried to stop him, he killed them because they recognized him as a great evil; in the meantime, he maimed Cebin Mendel for unknown reasons, and then he killed a military unit while looking for Mohamed Tabarsi. He then burned down Marco Lasso’s church orphanage home and murdered everyone inside. By the age of eight, Hao had amassed an incredible number of henchmen to whom he would teach many of his own personal techniques, such as the Fumon Tonk.

Fights Between Shamans In Tokyo

Hao makes his first appearance among the other contestants, smirking and commenting on Yoh and Ren’s battle, saying that both of their shamanic powers were gradually growing and that the winner would undoubtedly be a major obstacle in the near future.

Crossing The United States

Hao is introduced for the first time when the Shamans gather to board the Patch plane bound for America. He appears in front of Yoh and his group, proclaiming himself the future Shaman King and deciding to play with them and test their strength. Later, he is interrupted by his own followers, who warn him that if he continues to play around, they will miss the plane, to which he agrees, but not before telling Yoh that he was impressed by his determination and that he would be a useful ally before departing with his allies.

The second round of Shaman Fights has begun.

Hao is impressed by Yoh’s first Over-Soul “Spirit of the Sword” and, in particular, how quickly he was able to master it in less than a month as he observes Yoh’s progress in his first match. He then follows Ren out of the stadium. Ren observes this and tells Hao to leave him alone. Ren is then offered the chance to join Hao’s group, but he refuses and attacks Hao. Hao, on the other hand, easily and quickly blocks his attack, turning it into ash. Ren is taken aback by Hao’s intimidating strength and returns to the stadium to learn more about him as Hao departs for his own match.

Hao’s team, Hoshi-Gumi, is made up of himself, Luchist, and Opacho. Hoshi-Gumi will be faced by one of the X-law teams. Before the match began, Hao requested that both Opacho and Luchist leave the area so that he could face them both at the same time. Despite the fact that they will lose, the X-laws decide to fight Hao one-on-one so that the other shamans can learn more about him. Hao quickly summons the Spirit of Fire and kills two members of the X-laws in a single attack. The third member is being crushed by the Spirit of Fire.

Later, Hao reveals that his shamanic medium is the air itself, which he admits because what other medium of fire would be better? Marco is furious because this shows Hao doesn’t care if anyone knows his secret and that he mocks the sacrifices of the X-laws he killed. Chris Venstar, on the other hand, throws a special grenade at Hao that has the ability to extinguish all oxygen in the area.

Fortunately, the force field surrounding the ring absorbs the entire blast, and Hao appears to be unharmed. As the smoke clears, Hao is still unprotected, but the Spirit of Fire has transformed into water. To protect himself, Hao used his knowledge of the five elements to transform the Spirit of Fire into Water. As a reward for their wise bravery, Hao bestows upon the X-laws the honor of being Eaten by the Spirit of Fire in order for it to grow stronger.

Meanwhile, when Hao discovers Yoh’s intention to withdraw from the ShamanFebruary Fight, he threatens to kill the Golem and the children unless Yoh returns to the competition. Hao then orders Luchist to assist Yoh in defeating the X-laws. very quickly After that, Hao notices Team “The Ren” fighting one of the Gandhara teams and realizes Horohoro’s true name is Usui Horokeu. The Star Festival begins as Hao departs for his lair.

He orders his henchmen to thwart Gandhara’s plan to create the Five Warriors on his own. Meanwhile, John of the X-laws fires a beam from a hidden satellite at him. This strategy fails when Hao reveals his armored Over-Soul, which protects him. The Spirit of Fire then completely destroys John’s soul.

Hao goes to the area where Marco and Jeanne are and meets Anna. He responds with the Spirit of Fire after Anna uses Furyoku Nullification to completely undo his attack with Zenki and Goki. After Anna uses a curse reflection to harm him, Hao unleashes his Armored Over-Soul: the Raven. As spirits appear in the battle, Team Hana-Gumi wonders if Hao is simply using them. Hao later reveals the truth and attempts to absorb their souls, but Anna saves them by summoning one of Hao’s old guardian ghosts.

Hao is impressed by Anna and wonders why he can’t read her mind and why she hasn’t used her full power, “the power she doesn’t want anyone to know about,” and why he can’t read her mind. “Who are you?” and “What do you do?” Hao then inquired of Anna. When Yoh arrives, he greets Hao with “Anna is Anna” and invites her to join him for coffee. They are having a conversation. He leaves after detecting Yohken’s presence in Yoh’s mind.

During the fight between Team The Ren and Funbari Onsen, Hao is seen relaxing in a hot spring while listening to the match on the radio. When everyone is surprised to learn that he appears to have no friends, Hao reveals that this was only a thought in Yoh’s head the entire time. Yoh has a new technique he learned in Hell that he quickly discovers.

Plants Are Being Encroached Upon.

After the second round of the Shaman Fights, The Patch transported Team “Hoshi-Gumi,” Team “The Ren,” Team “Funbari Onsen,” and Team “X-I” to the Continent of Mu, where the third and final rounds would be held. Instead of continuing the competition, the other three teams forfeited, making Hao the new Shaman King. Lip and Rap then led him through the Plants to the Kings Sanctuary, where Hao would be reunited with the Great Spirit and sleep a simulated death. When he finally wakes up, he sends the Oracle Bells the message “so small.”

He then kills everyone with a single glance, with the exception of Rutherford, Opacho, and Yoh. After Opacho mentioned that the Hao she knew wasn’t here anymore, Yoh deduced that Hao was controlling his body despite the fact that his spirit had already moved on as the Shaman King. Yoh then decapitates Hao, declaring him a walking corpse. (#13) Hao, on the other hand, does not die after merging with the Great Spirit, which is most likely due to his omnipotence.

Hao is seen absorbing Yoh’s soul and Amidamaru after he smirks. When Yoh awakens, he realizes he must be inside the Great Spirit, and Hao appears, revealing that he is actually inside himself and in the highest society of the Great Spirit, the Shaman King’s society, which only Hao can enter. The two starts talking, and Yoh reveals that he, too, despises humans for destroying the planet. However, he admits that he would never go so far as to kill them, so Hao orders him to leave. Yoh, Tao Ren, Lyserg Diethel, Chocolove McDonell, and Usui Horokeu are not exiled. The Shaman King and the Five Elemental Warriors then fight to the death.

The fight is so evenly matched that it ends in a draw until Hao reveals that the fight was just a warm-up for their defeat and unleashes a supernova that evolves into a black hole. The Soul Train appears out of nowhere, tying the five together as they are dragged in. All of the people killed by Hao Has when he became Shaman king, as well as the dead family members and friends of the Five Elemental Warriors, are on board. Yoh finally calms Hao by allowing Opacho to jump into a black hole, which Hao immediately stops due to their bond.

Hao realized that his search was for something he couldn’t remember, not for who he had become. His quest began, according to the Asakura family, because of his late mother. Yoh finally realizes what Hao is looking for and informs him that his late mother was always present in spirit form with him. Hao realizes that his mother could have been his guardian ghost and Over-Soul, but he was blinded by his own quest and couldn’t see the truth. When Hao’s mother arrives, he is overjoyed to see her again, despite the fact that she slapped him and humiliated him in front of everyone. Following that, he allows everyone to return to Earth but tells Yoh that he still despises humanity, but that he will wait for them to solve their problems before passing judgment, and that they should not be so rude.

Funbari Uta no Uta no Funbari Uta no Funbari

After Yoh, Anna, and their infant son, Asakura Hana, are killed in the Middle East, they enter Hao’s realm in the Great Spirit. Anna blackmails him into resurrecting all three of them. Hao does so while implanting Onis as a fail-safe mechanism to keep Hana alive.

At the end of the series, Hao is seen happily watching over Yoh and his friends alongside Matamune, implying that he has finally let go of his hatred and accepted his role as Shaman King.

Flower arrangements

Following Hao’s ascension to the position of Shaman King, the G8 convened and, with a vote of no confidence against him, launched the Flower of Maize to decide the fate of the world. After Hana dies several years later while deliberately summoning Oni’s to fight Tao Men, he reappears and lectures him on his misuse of the Onis before offering to resurrect him one last time if he can defeat Yoh, who appears to be himself from 13 years ago.

After defeating Hana, he decides to train Yoh while keeping an eye on Hana. Simultaneously, he makes it clear to Thalim and the other former Patch officials that they are only permitted to observe Hana’s progress and are not permitted to interfere in any way. Simultaneously, he observes that Yosuke’s kidnapping of Amidamaru was convenient because he spoiled Hana excessively. He also expresses his desire for Sakurai to be Hana’s guardian ghost, telling the priests that they will eventually understand why he chose a mere human ghost to be Hana’s guardian. Later, as Hao declares to Yoh his desire to change the world with the Flower of Maize, YVS appears and declares his desire to keep things as they are.
