In 2010, she began her career as a Senior Analyst at Oeerdo Qatar. She now chairs the Marketing and Communications Committee of the Local Organizing Committee for the 2019 IAAF World Championships in Athletics in Doha. As well as her present post as Director of Marketing and Communications at the QOC, Asma is also the Director of Marketing and Communications for the 20th FINA World Championships and World Masters Championships, Doha 2023 LOC.
Since March 2020, she has been a member of the Asian Games Bid Committee Doha 2030. She also served as a Lecturer at Qatar Olympic Academy for a while. Asma just became the first Qatari woman to ski to the South Pole and summit Mt. Vinson on January 12, 2020. In April 2018, she became recognized across the globe after joining an unguided European-Arab team of 11 women hiking to the North Pole to increase cultural understanding and encourage other women to achieve their goals.
