Aspen Ladd began her MMA career by signing with Invicta FC, where she was set to make her professional debut against Kristi Lopez on February 27, 2015, at Invicta FC 11. However, Lopez got injured during training and was replaced by renowned grappler Ana Carolina Vidal. Ladd won the bout via first-round TKO.

Then, on March 11, 2016, she made her bantamweight debut against Kelly McGill at Invicta FC 16 and won by TKO in the third round.

She also defeated Jessica Hoy on July 29, 2016, at Invicta FC 18 and made her final appearance for the promotion on January 14, 2017, at Invicta FC 21, when she faced Sijara Eubanks. Aspen won the bout by unanimous decision, marking the first time in her professional career that she did not finish her opponent.

Aspen was set to make her UFC debut against Jessica Eye on July 7, 2017, at The Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale. However, the fight was scrapped when Ladd became unwell on the day of the event.
