Benzino Got Himself Arrested After The Arrest Warrant Was Issued

Benzino

Benzino surrendered on May 23 after being designated a fugitive when a warrant was issued for his arrest. The warrant stems from an altercation in July 2020 involving Althea Heart, his child’s mother, and her boyfriend. During a heated altercation, the rapper allegedly destroyed Heart’s boyfriend’s car. He described his side of the court struggle and its reasoning to a news source. He said,

“At the moment, I was fighting with the person she was with.” Long story short, the case occurred around two years ago, and someone posted that old video, which had me debating with him.”

He alleged that he was ordered to appear in court through Zoom but did not do so after testing positive for Covid. A warrant for his arrest was subsequently issued. Last month, he was apparently engaged in another domestic altercation with Heart and her partner. He was detained and charged with second-degree criminal damage as well as disorderly behavior. During the altercation, he allegedly punched the man’s vehicle.

Everything we know about Benzino’s ex-girlfriend

Althea Heart is a singer who was born on April 17, 1982. In 2004, the 39-year-old inked a million-dollar contract with Def Jam. Her first album, however, was canceled, and she was dropped by the company in 2006. She is also a property investor. She appeared as Benzino’s new girlfriend in Season 3 of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. During the presentation, she confessed that she had previously dated Stevie J and Nikko.

The duo clashed with Stevie and Joseline, resulting in a major brawl at the season’s reunion special. When the television celebrity reportedly threatened the program’s producer, they were expelled from the show. In 2015, Heart co-starred alongside Benzino in We TV’s Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars 4. They subsequently gave birth to their son, Zino Antonio Scott Jr. Following their split and court fights, the couple received notoriety on the internet and news networks in 2016.

Benzino’s previous legal problems

He was detained at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in 2015 after attempting to board an aircraft with a loaded pistol. In 2017, Georgia officials raided his residence and discovered 22 grams of THC oil gummies, six MDMA tablets, and some marijuana. He was taken into custody and charged with felony narcotics possession. In 2019, the 56-year-old was detained for failing to appear in court for a traffic offense. The initial arrest footage shows him yelling at the cops and querying why he was given a ticket.
