Camille Cosby was born in Washington, DC, to “Guy A Hanks Sr.” Her father was a chemist, and her mother, “Catherine C Hanks,” was a nursery worker. She is the eldest of the family’s four children. She and her family moved to Washington, Maryland, shortly after her birth.
