Carhartt WIP X Toogood Collaborated On A Gender-Neutral Clothing Collection

Carhartt WIP X Toogood

Carhartt WIP and innovative British label Toogood collaborated to create gender-neutral uniform clothing. On Tuesday, June 7, 2022, the Carhartt WIP X Toogood capsule collection was made public. The whole collection is available online at Toogood and Carhartt WIP’s official websites. If you want to buy them in person, go to Carhartt WIP locations and other chosen merchants.

The team created a collection with architectural proportions and airy shapes, blending classic Carhartt WIP aesthetics with Toogood’s straightforward approach. The apparel items in the collection have been redesigned in a Toogood-esque manner. Erica Toogood, Toogood’s co-founder, emphasized how the two brands share similar principles, adding,

“This partnership came from a really natural place for both businesses,” she went on to say. “Carhartt WIP’s heritage of reimagining and sculpting traditional clothing blends seamlessly with Toogood’s homage to trades and workwear, reinvented and sculpted with creative license.”

The pieces are made in a mild color palette of off-white, black, and “Hamilton-Brown,” adhering to the utilitarian and simple style. The capsule collection includes two separate jacket designs, a shirt, overalls, a trouser, and a t-shirt that incorporates pieces from both companies’ lines.

Toogood has created a series of one-of-a-kind patterns comprised of patchwork combinations made from contrasting fabrics to highlight the re-cutting and re-working method. At Milan’s Salone del Mobile furniture expo, the items will be shown with three creative puppets dressed in enormous reproductions of the collection’s outfits.

Items available in the utilitarian capsule collection

1) The Explorer X OG Active Jacket costs $278 for each piece. This jacket is spacious and made entirely of organic cotton. The triple-stitched underwired outerwear has an ergonomic hood and bottom, unique zip closures, elasticated sleeve ends, kangaroo pockets, and Carhartt WIP x Toogood labeling. It comes in three different colorways: black, wax, and Hamilton brown.

2) Toogood updates Carhartt WIP’s Michigan Coat with components from their Photographer Jacket. The Photographer x Michigan coat is comfortable and constructed completely of organic cotton. The prominent characteristics of this $241 coat are the corduroy collars, big and deep stand-out chest pockets, adjustable wrists, and clever Carhartt WIP x Toogood labeling.

3) Toogood reimagined Carhartt WIP’s double knee pants by fusing elements of their Sculptor Trouser. The Sculptor x Double Knee pant is made of natural cotton and has a relaxed fit and a shorter rise. These practical trousers will set you back $161 per pair.

4) The Farmer and the Bib Overall, comparable colors are available. These $241 head-to-toe costumes are made of organic cotton Dearborn canvas. The universal sizing ranges from XS to XL. Because they are bigger designs, designers recommend XS-S for women and M-XL for men.

5) The Antique Dealer x Classic Vest costs $203 each piece. Toogood reworks Carhartt WIP’s Classic Vest and blends it with the distinctive patterns of the latter’s Antique Dealer Waistcoat for this outerwear.

6) The large Draughtsman x Tony Shirt costs $129 USD. Carhartt’s Tony Shirt components are properly blended with those of the other label’s Draughtsman shirts here. These shirts are made entirely of natural cotton Utah canvas.

7) Finally, the loose-fitting Tinker T-shirt is composed of jersey fabrics. These plain shirts are simply printed on the front and cost $64.
