She is the sixth of seven children born to businessman Charles O’Hara and stage actress and opera singer Marguerite O’Hara. Her mother must have instilled in her a love of singing. Michael Patrick, Marc, and Margaret are a few of her siblings. Mary, her sister, is a singer-songwriter.
