Chaka Zulu A Ludacris’ Manager Was Shot And Wounded In Atlanta

The event occurred on Sunday night in an upmarket neighborhood of downtown Atlanta. According to accounts, the shooting occurred in a parking lot along Peachtree Road in Buckhead, killing one guy and wounded Chaka Zulu and another badly. In the early hours of Monday, Atlanta police began investigating the triple shooting. The incident occurred at about 11:35 p.m. in an area where multiple restaurants and stores share a parking lot, and the place is on a major thoroughfare.

What happened To Chaka Zulu?

According to the police, the shooting was the result of a “dispute in the parking lot.” The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased as Artez Benton, 23, of Scottdale. In terms of Zulu’s health, officials said that he is improving and recuperating. They stated:

“We are pleased to inform you that Chaka Zulu is in stable condition and on the mend.” The family wants to thank everyone for their good wishes and prayers and requests privacy at this time.”

Speaking about the event, Atlanta Police Lt. Germaine Dearlove said that some witnesses allege the shooting occurred immediately outside Zulu’s restaurant. Investigators are currently looking for further evidence and trying to identify the shooter using security video. As of yet, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

Who exactly is Chaka Zulu?

Chaka is a hip-hop artist and longtime manager of famed rapper and actor Ludacris. Disturbing Tha Peace Records was co-founded by him. In 2008, the label secured a long-term partnership with Def Jam Recordings, and its roster includes artists like as Chingy, Bobby Valentino, Young Jeezy, Swizz Beatz, Big K.R.I.T., and Childish Major. Zulu has also worked at Spotify as the Head of Artist & Talent. Zulu, a well-known personality in the music and hip-hop industries, has garnered several awards for his work. Earlier this year, he was honored as the 9th winner of the ‘Forever 404 Honors presented by Sharecare’ during an Atlanta Hawks game.

He has also worked as the VP of Sports and Entertainment Marketing at Monster, the firm that manufactures Beats by Dre headphones. Earlier this year, Ludacris posted a photo of himself with his manager Chaka, along with a text celebrating their lengthy friendship. The rapper captioned the photo:
