Career

Charlie entered the acting field in 1985, making his television debut in the Ken Follett novel-based film The Jey to Rebecca. In the television film, he played Billy Vandam, the young son of the main character William, played by Cliff Robertson. That same year, he played Leonard in another TV movie, Exploits in West Poley. Condou appeared as Martin in the ITV network television series Robin of Sherwood. He made his feature film debut in the 1988 film To Kill a Priest, where he played Mirek.

He has appeared as a guest star in a number of television shows, including Eldorado (1992), Martin Chuzzlewit (1994), The Bill (1994), Pie in the Sky (1995), Gimme Gimme Gimme (1999), Mis Domer Murders (2005), and others. Aside from performing, Condou authored a column on same-sex parenting for The Guardian newspaper from October 2011 until July 2012. In 2016, he authored the introduction to Eric Rosseood’s book, Journey to Same-Sex Parenthood.
