All about Cristobal Jodorowsky
Axel chose to alter his name to Cristobal while doing psychomagic (a shamanic art practice). On July 24, 1965, he was born. Because it made such an influence on Axel’s thinking, his new name became a powerful symbolic identifier of his personality. Cristobal was the only child of Alejandro Jodorwosky and Valerie Tremblay. Alejandro is a well-known surrealist filmmaker who has written, produced, directed and starred in many films. Valerie is a French actress, however, there is no information regarding her filmography at this moment.
While deciding to execute performances via communal psychomagic, Cristobal Jodorowsky researched his theories of psychomagic, tarot, and esoteric studies. In 2018, he said the following:
“I chose to utilize the instruments at my disposal so that we might all participate in humanity’s evolutionary process via our experiences, suggesting group and individual exercises, tarot reading, meditations, family tree dramatizations, psychomagic, and many other activities.”
He rose to prominence for his role as Fenix in his father’s 1989 horror film Santa Sangre. For his role in the film, he was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Actor. The film, which was produced on a $787,000 budget, won multiple awards at the Cannes Film Festival, Sitges Film Festival, Chicago International Film Festival, Saturn Awards, and other festivals. Brontis Jodorowsky and Adan Jodorowsky are Cristobal Jodorowsky’s two brothers. Adan is a musician, director, and actor, whereas Brontis is a theatrical director and actor. Alma Jodorowsky’s uncle was also an actress, model, and singer.
