Cush Jumbo And Her Husband Unusual Wedding

Cush Jumbo

Cush Jumbo earned fame in the television business in recent years as Lucca Quinn on CBS’s The Good Wife and its popular spin-off, The Good Fight. Despite all of the attention she has received, she maintains her personal life private. She seldom discusses her marriage to Sean Griffin and their almost-three-year-old son, Maximilian Griffin.

Unconventional Wedding of Cush Jumbo and Her Husband

Jumbo and her hubby married on December 27, 2014. Before they began dating, the pair had been friends for many years. “I never believed he fancied me,” the actress laughed, but when her career took off in the United States, her husband abandoned everything and moved in with her. The pair married in New York, and instead of the usual celebrity spectacular, she chose an unorthodox ceremony. On a Broadway stage, they exchanged vows. During their third anniversary, the star of The Good Wife shared a snapshot from their special day. “About 3 years ago, I married this gorgeous guy on this Broadway stage after my matinée of #theriver,” she said in the caption. It’s still the most ambitious, daring, and rewarding thing I’ve ever done. #justdoit.” Jumbo’s actions were courageous.

Rumors surfaced in 2017 that the couple was expecting their first child. In January 2018, she finally confirmed to ET at the Critics’ Choice Awards. She was six months pregnant with her kid at the time. The pregnancy was included in the program by authors Michelle and Robert King, she disclosed. “It’s been amazing because the Kings, who create the show, have worked it into the play, so Lucca and I are both pregnant,” the actress said. Jumbo had their baby, Maximilian, a few months later in April, which she revealed on Instagram with a photo of her kid gripping someone’s thumb. “After six months of perfectly portraying Lucca’s baby belly on @thegoodfight, my little child finally made his real-life appearance,” she captioned the shot. She went on to say that her kid was “exactly as handsome as his Daddy.” The actress often posts photos of herself and her spouse spending quality time with their baby.

Cush Jumbo Is Mistook for a Nanny

However, when Jumbo and her kid were out and about in New York City, she was misidentified as his babysitter. In a 2019 interview with The Advocate, the actress recounted the encounter. “She was ashamed that she’d misidentified me. “She was ashamed, unhappy, and remorseful,” Jumbo added. This incident was shown in an episode of The Good Fight in which her character Lucca was misidentified as her baby’s babysitter by an American mother. The tale in the series was more dramatic than her real-life experience. The lady eventually called the cops on Lucca. Jumbo added that if she had been in London, she would not have had that experience since the nannies there were not people of race. However, according to the actress, nannies in New York were almost entirely women of color.
