According to authorities, Danielle Redlick waited 11 hours after killing her husband at their Winter Park home before dialing 911. She spent this time on MeetMindful, a dating website. Danielle Redlick stated in court filings that Michael attempted to strangle her after a fight. He supposedly confronted her after discovering she had sent seductive text messages to another guy. Danielle told detectives that Michael had reportedly stolen the McDonald’s quarter-pounder she was eating. He bit her and spit in her face. She said she grabbed a kitchen knife to protect herself, but Michael seized it from her and used it to stab himself. Danielle Redlick then locked herself in the bathroom as her husband sobbed.

When the cops arrived at her house, they smelled bleach and saw blood-soaked towels beside a pail of pink liquid. The couple’s children were not at home at the time of the incident. According to the arrest affidavit, Danielle sliced her wrists before dialing 911, but the cut was not too deep since she was no longer bleeding when cops arrived. Danielle was jailed a year after Michael’s murder for allegedly attacking two sheriff’s officers while intoxicated.
