David Pearce Has Been Charged With Murder For Killing A Model Christy Giles

Christy Giles

Last year, Pearce, a Hollywood film producer, and party organizer were charged with murder. According to recent sources, he is now facing murder charges in the deaths of Instagram model Christy Giles and her architect friend, both of whom died as a result of a drug overdose.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed fresh murder charges against Pearce, 40, last week in the murders of Christy Giles, 24, and Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, 26. Furthermore, 42-year-old actor Brandt Osborn has been charged with being an accomplice to the killings of the two ladies. Despite the fact that he is currently out on bail, an arrest warrant has been issued for him. Michael Ansbach, a 47-year-old cinematographer who was first detained in connection with the case, was not prosecuted.

Christy Giles’ murder indictment adds to Pearce’s previous convictions.

Pearce was first jailed on suspicion of manslaughter shortly after Christy Giles’ murder, while Osborn and Ansbach were accused of being accomplices to the crime. According to investigators, all three suspects attended a warehouse party with the deceased in the hours before their deaths. Christy Giles and Hilda Cabrales-Arzola spent the night at Pearce’s flat after that.

Pearce had previously pled not guilty to two charges of forceful r*pe, one count of r*pe of an unconscious or sleeping person, and one crime of s*xual pen*tration with a foreign object before last week. As a consequence, Pearce faces further assault accusations against seven women. Pearce has been imprisoned since December 2021 on suspicion of abusing four women between 2010 and 2020. According to one of the alleged victims, Pearce gave her a whiskey and she passed out. Pearce allegedly attacked the woman while she was unconscious. According to a probation officer, he even threatened to kill her family after she was able to fight him off. Another lady said Pearce harassed her while she was sleeping and threatened to hurt her family.

The fallout from the allegations

Christy Giles’ family rushed to Instagram when the murder charges were issued, writing,

“Finally! “Justice will be served.”

Pearce is scheduled to appear in court on July 11 and submit a not guilty plea, according to his attorney, Jacob Glucksman. He went on to say that Pearce “adamantly and emphatically rejects any link to these terrible women’s deaths.”

Pearce also asked that his $3.4 million bails be reduced. Meanwhile, Gluckman filed a petition to decrease the bond and asked for his client to be freed with a GPS ankle tracker. Gluckman went on to say that the bond sum should be suitable for the crimes he is “currently” facing, not for items that are “pure conjecture and media fodder.” The attorney also denied the assault accusations, noting that the event was not reported for years and that the District Attorney’s office rejected the most recent one in 2020 due to a lack of evidence.
