Doja Cat, an American rapper and singer, has said that she will retire from music shortly after The Weeknd’s 2022 Tour concludes. The Woman singer turned to Twitter to address her fans attending the After Hours tour, stating that she is not abandoning them. She did, however, mention that she would “disappear” shortly after the trip. The news comes only days after Doja Cat’s now-deleted apology to her followers over her intention to leave the music profession.
Doja Cat’s decision to retire from music
Doja Cat announced her intention to resign on March 29. In response to a tweet from Florida radio station MIX 105.1, which said, “Maybe Doja Cat isn’t retiring,” the musician responded, “Yes, the F**k I am.”
Doja Cat tweeted to her followers in answer to inquiries regarding her presence on The Weeknd’s tour:
“I’m not leaving those who are seeing me at the after-hours tour.” But just because I’m not leaving doesn’t mean my ass isn’t going to vanish shortly after. I still have work to do. And a lot of you assume that just because I publish a f***ing photo means I’m not out. “Picture does not equal GOOFY sound.”
She went on to say that she would make videos, finish her concerts and that she would not be leaving anytime soon:
Following the Paraguay incident, in which one of her gigs was canceled due to a storm, Doja Cat tweeted that she was leaving the music profession and wanted to vanish. Fans were outraged by the situation, prompting them to criticize the artist online.
“I don’t give a f**k about anything anymore… I f****ing gave up. I can’t wait to f*****g vanish, and I no longer need you to believe in me. Everything is dead to me, even music, and I’m a f***ing idiot to have thought I was built for this. This is the worst nightmare I’ve ever had. “Please unfollow me.”

On Twitter, the artist was responding to a fan. On the other hand, the artist apologized to her admirers in a series of now-deleted tweets less than 48 hours later:
“Because of you, I can travel, eat excellent cuisine, meet new people, smile, create experiences I never thought I’d have, laugh, support my family and friends, learn about the world, and give back to everyone… I owe folks a lot of stuff. I owe you a lot.”
Doja Cat went on:
“I owe a lot to myself as well.” I owe it to myself to give myself the opportunity to be open and kind to others. I owe it to myself to let go of the worries that prevent me from expanding my heart. I didn’t go to another nation to accomplish something I could do anywhere else. In some ways, that would be pointless.”
Doja Cat’s dispute with followers on the internet
Furthermore, Doja recently became embroiled in an online fight with her followers when she was forced to cancel an event in Paraguay, South America. Fans were outraged when she didn’t acknowledge the canceled program. They claimed that Doja did not publish a single article or tweet, so she changed her Twitter name to ‘I resigned’ and said that she couldn’t do it.
Some of her followers stated that they waited outside Doja’s hotel but that she did not come out to welcome them.
Doja wrote in one of her tweets:
“Due to a storm in Paraguay, the concert was canceled.” When I departed the following morning, there was no one waiting for me outside the motel. Allow it to sink in.”

Doja Cat said that she felt under pressure in the music business.
Moving on, Doja Cat has already stated her distaste for the music business. During an Instagram Live in November, the singer said that she hasn’t had joy making songs in “maybe five years.” She said that she believes she has had to make too many unneeded additions.
She stated:
“Perform I want to do that nonsense just because I have to?” No! No, I don’t think so! But I’m under a lot of pressure to do stupid things like that. That’s something I don’t want to do. I’d want to be at home. I want to play the f***in” “I want to play some f***ing video games.”
Last month, the 26-year-old singer paused her performance to assist a distraught fan. The singer did not begin performing until she was certain that the fan in agony had assistance, emphasizing the significance of audience safety. Apart from the Weeknd Tour, Doja is scheduled to play at 27 forthcoming gigs, including the Coachella festival.
