Edie McClurg Is Allegedly Abused By A Man Claiming To Be Her Longtime Friend

Edie McClurg, an American actress, is accused of elder abuse by a guy who claims to be her “long-time friend” when she is suffering from dementia. According to court records obtained by TMZ, officials for the Ferris Bueller star’s conservatorship claimed that a guy called Michael L. Ramos introduced himself as the actress’s friend and attempted to take her out of Los Angeles to marry her. The court in the case has ordered the guy in issue to cancel his intentions to marry the 77-year-old actress.

Docs believe Ramos, who lives with McClurg, is jobless and has “finagled” himself into Edie McClurg’s life with his ideas, despite being aware of her mental state. According to the Mayo Clinic, dementia is a generic term used to describe a group of symptoms that impair a person’s memory, thinking, and reasoning skills enough to interfere with their daily activities.

Edie McClurg’s “friend” is also accused of assaulting her carer.

According to court records acquired by TMZ, Ramos sexually abused McClurg’s caretaker, and a case has been made with the Los Angeles Police Department. The caregiver also claimed and voiced concern that the guy, who is not in a romantic connection with Edie, may have sexually assaulted her but she is ignorant of it due to her dementia. A judge granted Michael Ramos permission to reside with McClurg for companionship, but her conservatorship attorneys have now asked the court to remove the man from her house. On Monday, Angelique Cabral appeared in the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles County on behalf of the experienced actress.

According to People, a protective order issued by McClurg’s lawyer against Michael L. Ramos was approved. Ramos is expected to appear in court for the next hearing on August 25. In February 2019, the actress’s family filed a conservatorship petition in court, claiming that she was living with a verbally abusive guy who was attempting to obtain her property by duping her into signing legal paperwork.
