In 2001, he moved to Silicon Valley after graduating from college. And began his career in There Inc. as a software engineer. They worked until 2003 before launching “There.com.” A virtual world in 3D that is accessible via the web. But it couldn’t work.
He co-founded IMVU, a social networking site, with Will Harvey, one of the founders of There.com, in 2004. Steve Blank is one of IMVU’s investors. Ries’ book “The Four Steps to the Epiphany” has been copyedited.
