Fabian Picardo Age & Early Life
Picardo was born in Gibraltar on February 18, 1972, and grew up in the Upper Town neighborhood. His father worked as a clerical clerk for the Ministry of Defence in Gibraltar. At the same time, his mother was a personal assistant to Joshua Hassan, the founder of Hassan’s legal company and a Gibraltar Chief Minister.
When he was 14 years old, he went to Hassan’s legal office to explore the concept with the attorneys. Picardo studied law at Oriel College, Oxford, from 1990 to 1993. His studies were aided by the grant scheme established by Joe Bossano’s Gibraltar Socialist Labour Party administration in 1988. Picardo’s election was commemorated by raising the Gibraltar flag at Oriel College, and he has also lectured at Oriel Law Society following his election. Picardo then attended Gray’s Inn’s Inns of Court School and was called to the bar by Middle Temple in 1994.
