Florence Pugh And Zach Braff Have Confirmed Their Break Up After Three-Year Of Relationship

Florence Pugh

During a cover story interview for Harper’s Bazaar’s September 2022 edition, actress Florence Pugh revealed that she and director Zach Braff had split after almost three years of dating. Pugh said that they opted to call it quits “without the world knowing” in order to escape public attention. The Don’t Worry Darling actor stated that she gets upset anytime she talks about the breakup:

“We simply believed that doing something like this would help us avoid having millions of people tell us how pleased they are that we aren’t together. So that’s what we did. When I speak about it, I get a knot in my throat.”

They allegedly began dating in 2019, but have always insisted on keeping their relationship discreet.

Investiating the history of Florence Pugh and Zach Braff’s relationship

Florence and Zach began interacting on social media in 2018, after the director admired Pugh’s performance in the historical drama Lady Macbeth. On Twitter, Braff stated:

“Last night, I saw an extraordinary film that I can’t stop thinking about: ‘Lady Macbeth,’ starring @Florence Pugh. Beautifully directed, photographed, performed, and so forth. Be warned: it’s quite disturbing. Florence is a famous actress.”

Braff ignited relationship speculations with Pugh in January 2019. Although none of them declared their connection at the time, when he visited Pugh’s hometown of Oxford, England, significant conjecture ensued. On his social media site, the director also shared images from his excursion. Florence and Zach began working together in March of that year, when the former acted in In The Time It Takes To Get There, a short film directed by Braff. Braff also sparked controversy on social media by sharing behind-the-scenes images of Pugh. The true relationship allegedly started in April 2019 when the two were seen holding hands in public and travelling about New York City.

Zach confirmed their connection when he tweeted another picture of Florence with their industry buddies with the caption:

“People I care about.”

In November 2019, the two became “Instagram official” when they uploaded images from their trip to Disneyland, where they were joined by other pals. Zach Braff and Florence Pugh were also pictured together at the Marriage Story premiere in Los Angeles in November 2019. However, the two did not attend the premiere of Pugh’s Little Women together. Because of their 21-year age difference, their relationship was often criticized. Pugh later called out the haters and defended her connection with Braff.

Pugh wished Braff a happy 45th birthday with a sweet Instagram picture in April 2020. She stated:

“Today, we will grin as big as the clouds. We’re having a big celebration on April 6th! Birthday greetings, boogies, and cheers for this particular individual. Raise and bounce those bubbles!”

Zach sent Florence a lovely email with some of their images for her 25th birthday. While they haven’t spoken much in interviews, Zach commended Pugh for her outstanding talent in March 2022. In an interview with Collider, he stated:

“I know Florence does wonderful things… Some consider her to be the finest actress of her generation. I believe she is one of the greatest actors working today.”

Florence Pugh’s rumored romance with Will Poulter

Florence Pugh was said to be seeing actor Will Poulter after her separation from Zach Braff. The suspicions arose when Pugh and Poulter were seen vacationing in Ibiza with several of their pals. Florence Pugh, on the other hand, turned to Instagram to clear the air regarding her dating life. She wrote a long message on her Instagram stories rejecting the relationship rumors with Will. According to Cosmopolitan, the tales are as follows:

“Ooookay. Man. This is starting to become ridiculous. No, Will Poulter and I are not in a relationship. We went to the beach with our buddies, who are usually approximately a half-meter distant from us in every photo but have been carefully clipped out/framed out to seem different.”

Florence Pugh went on to say:

“So many images have my closest buddy in the corner and [friend] Archie’s arms at the sides. I realize that the nature of this work requires you to have your privacy utterly demolished by paparazzi at times, but fabricating this information truly does more harm than good.”
