A new teaser for Netflix’s highly anticipated comedy-horror Wednesday debuted yesterday, featuring numerous key characters, including Fred Armisen’s Uncle Fester. In the teaser, the veteran actor appears with a new bald and eerie face, shocking his niece Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) in the woods. He also seems to be an important individual in assisting Wednesday in her exploration of the shady Nevermore Academy.

Wednesday is a spinoff of the wildly famous Addams Family, and it will include a surprise appearance by original actress Christina Ricci. The series will revolve on Ortega’s Wednesday, when her parents, Gomez and Morticia Addams (Luis Guzmán and Catherine Zeta-Jones), send her off to the Nevermore school to learn more about her talents.

The official summary of the program is as follows:

“While attending Nevermore Academy, Wednesday Addams tries to harness her developing psychic gift, halt a killing spree, and unravel the mystery that has plagued her parents for 25 years.”

Fred Armisen began his profession as a drummer over 30 years ago.

For good cause, Fred Armisen has added a level of excitement to the series. With the recent statement from the show’s creative team, as well as the publication of the trailer, Armisen has become one of the show’s biggest stars. Armisen is an American actor, comedian, writer, producer, and musician who began his career as a drummer over three decades ago. He was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and relocated to New York with his family as a baby. Armisen attended Manhattan’s School of Visual Arts but left out to pursue a career in rock music. Armisen began his musical career in 1984 as a drummer for a local band.

He relocated to Chicago a few years later and joined the band Trenchmouth. He then performed with another band, Blue Man Group. When he wasn’t in a band, Armisen’s main interest became television. He characterized his interest as follows:

“I wanted to be on television in some capacity. For some reason, I assumed it would be a circuitous road; I had no idea it would be a comedy and Saturday Night Live. I just wanted to accomplish something with my performance that would get me there.”

After appearing on programs such as Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Fred Armisen became a regular cast member of Saturday Night Live, thereby catapulting his career to new heights. After appearing in programs and films such as The Rocker, Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, and Parks and Recreation, he appeared in the IFC sketch comedy series Portlandia, for which he received an Emmy nomination. Meanwhile, Fred Armisen has co-produced and executive-produced a number of series in the mainstream media.
