Frederick Christ Trump Sr. was born in The Bronx, New York, on October 11, 1905, to Frederick Trump and Elizabeth Christ Trump. From 1928 to 1923, he attended Richmond Hill High School in New York.

During WWII, he constructed garden apartments and barracks for the United States Navy. In 1963, he spent an estimated $70 million to build Trump Village in Coney Island.
