Homes With History Season 2: Everything You Need to Know Before the Season Premiere

Homes With History, starring Mike Lemieux, Rich Soares, and Jen Macdonald, will return to HGTV for the second time. The three will work together to save and renovate centuries-old homes in Massachusetts for new and contemporary families to reside in. Loren Ruch, Group Senior Vice President of Content & Development at HGTV, commented on the show:

“Houses With History is one of the programs in which we turned the concept of what makes a successful remodeling narrative on its head by starting with the history of the property rather than the resident.”

He went on to say that the show is being extended because Jen, Mike, and Rich are “fabulous” and “humorous” writers, and it’s always intriguing when unanticipated turns emerge during restorations of the country’s earliest houses.

Jen Macdonald went to social media to express her enthusiasm for the forthcoming season and to tease what’s to come. In an Instagram post, she stated that the HGTV crew would travel to Fairhaven in the season debut of Homes With History season 2 to repair one of Henry Huttlesron Roger’s properties from around 1900.

She went on to say:

“This is one of my favorites, and the community is fantastic as well.”

In another article, Macdonald discussed another property, stating that it was 330 years old and required “real repair.” She also told fans that, while the show will broadcast at 10:00 p.m. ET, the crew will go live on Facebook at 8:00 p.m. ET. According to the press release, the first episode was initially a potting shed with a rich past, and the proprietor was a close friend of John D. Rockefeller, the original oil magnate.
