His Divorce From His Wife And An Alleged Girlfriend

In 1983, Lewis married Sidney Conroy. They divorced just six years after getting married, indicating that it was not a long-lasting relationship. Their relationship ended amicably, and he considers them to be “still pals.”

Furthermore, he admitted the reason for their divorce: when he was at the pinnacle of his career, he was away from home for extended periods. As a result, Conroy was forced to care for everything at home, including their two children.

Lewis could have been in a relationship with Connie Hamzy as well. This rumor began when the interviewer inquired about Hamzy’s encounter with Lewis, to which she replied, “Proceed with caution.” However, he has never accepted or denied this piece of information.

Meniere’s Disease has been diagnosed.

Huey was in Dallas in January 2018 for a show with his band. He suddenly realized he couldn’t hear anything while putting on his in-ear monitor. He was diagnosed with Meniere’s disease as a result of this incident.

His hearing fluctuates regularly as a result of this condition. On a scale of 1 to 10, his hearing is usually between 3 and 6. He is deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly deaf. On good days, his hearing improves, sometimes for weeks at a time, so he remains optimistic that things will improve.

Even though he was diagnosed in 2018, he first experienced hearing loss in 1987, when he was at the pinnacle of his career. At the time, he had hit songs like “Doing It All for My Baby” and “Hip to Be Square.” One day, he couldn’t hear anything in his right ear, as if he’d been swimming in a pool. The doctors simply advised him to get used to it. He eventually lost hearing in his left ear as well.

His most recent album could be his last

In February 2020, he revealed that his most recent album might be his last because his hearing has deteriorated. I’m hoping to regain my hearing so we can get the band back together and play live again, but I can’t right now, and I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to. In the meantime, I’m trying to be as creative as possible.” He is unable to sing to the music, but he remains optimistic about returning to the stage.
