Alaskan Bush People is a Discovery Channel docudrama-style reality television series that chronicles the life of the Brown family as they strive to survive in the bush while cut off from modern society.

The show premiered on May 6, 2014, and was shot in and around Hoonah, Alaska, and Chichagof Island. The subsequent seasons were shot in Okanogan County, Washington.

However, in February 2020, the show’s supporters demanded that it be canceled after cast member Bear Brown’s drug consumption case.

Fans demanded that the show be canceled.

The alleged problem arose after Bear’s girlfriend, Raiven Adams, with whom he shares a small son, allegedly accused him of drug misuse.

She further said he had vowed to retaliate if she went public with the charges. She did, however, come forth with the truth, and as a result, she was granted a temporary restraining order against him.

Following the news, people began to criticize the show and demanded it is canceled.

Bear and Raiven are currently married and living with their one-year-old kid, River.

Is the Alaskan Bush People Show Cancelled?

When the scandal erupted, Alaskan Bush People was not airing, and there was no word about the 12th season. The most recent episode [at the time] aired on January 29, 2020, and it was the final episode of Season 11.

Despite the outcry, the show did not die, and it will return to the air on August 23, 2020, with Season 12. The 12th season aired eight episodes from October 11, 2020, to October 11, 2021.

In Season 13, ‘Alaskan Bush People’ Paid Tribute to a Lost Member. Following Season 12, the show, particularly the Brown family, was saddened by the death of the late patriarch Billy Brown.
