Jane Marczewski A Former AGT Contestant Passed Away At The Age Of 31

Jane Marczewski

Jane Marczewski, nicknamed Nightbirde of America’s Got Talent, died on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at 31. An insider source informed TMZ of her death. For some months, the late singer had been getting therapy. Her cancer, however, was said to have spread to many organs, including her lungs, spine, and liver. She was one of the most well-known contestants on the 16th season of America’s Got Talent before departing the program in August of last year due to health concerns. Marczewski battled cancer for nearly four years after being diagnosed in 2017.

Nightbird’s heartbreaking battle with cancer

Jane Marczewski was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2017. Nightbird underwent treatment after cancer diagnosis, and she was confirmed cancer-free in July 2018. After overcoming cancer for the first time, the Ohio native, penning songs since six, returned to music. A few months later, in March 2019, Marczewski released her debut song under her stage moniker, Girl in a Bubble. Later that year, in April, she resumed live performances after a long layoff.

Marczewski’s cancer resurfaced in 2019, giving her three to six months to survive. A year later, though, a second diagnosis pronounced her cancer-free. She revealed to NBC4i.com last year that her illness had recurred after her audition for AGT aired. The disease had spread to her other organs at the time. During her tryouts, Marczewski said she had a “2% chance of survival, but 2% is not 0%.”

Jane Marczewski relocated to Los Angeles in February 2020 following her divorce from her spouse. She turned to Instagram and said in a post, ”

“This time around with cancer, it’s the most difficult struggle I’ve ever faced. Bright days are ahead for me, and I appreciate your investment in them.”

Following Nightbirde’s untimely death, many people have expressed their condolences.
