Jason Mewes Shared A Heartbreaking Tale Of His And His Closest Friend’s Drug Addiction

Jason Mewes

Jason Mewes recently spoke about his years of drug abuse and told a heartbreaking incident involving his closest buddy, director Kevin Smith. Mewes talked about his troubles on the current edition of the podcast, Steve-Wild O’s Ride!, after being quiet for 11 years. Smith, according to the actor, rescued him by pushing him to stay sober multiple times for his health for him to perform in the latter’s films, including Dogma and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Mewes stated:

“I remember sitting in front of his home with him, and he was weeping, saying, ‘I want to allow you in, but the entire family is here.'”

And I was wearing a tank top with track markings. ‘I can’t have you are seeing them like that,’ he says. And I’m thinking, ‘Can’t I just come in for a dish of Thanksgiving dinner?’ ‘You can’t,’ he says. I’ll get you some lunch right now.’ That was the first time I had been sober in a long time.” Kevin, according to the Clerks II actor, never criticized him or made him feel inadequate when he was suffering. Smith paid for the therapy as well, and all he wanted was for the podcaster to become clean and become a part of the family.
