Jay Sekulow Biography

Jay Sekulow was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York City. He is the son of Natalie and Stanley Sekulow. He attended Lakeside High School in Atlanta. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree. He has a J.D. and attended Mercer University.

Sekulow became interested in the Christian community while attending Atlanta Baptist College. He was inspired by Jews and converted to Messianic Judaism after meeting them. He received his Ph.D. from Regent University in 2005. He wrote his thesis on the influence of religion on Supreme Court Justices’ opinions.

Jay Sekulow began his career as a public prosecutor with the “Internal Revenue Servicetax “‘s lawsuit division for eighteen months. In 1982, he established his own law firm in Atlanta, Georgia. He was inspired by Jews and became a general counselor in 1987. In 1988, he founded the non-profit organization Christian Advocates Serving Evangelism. He is the firm’s President. He, his wife, and two sons serve on the company’s board of directors.

He became the director of ACLJ in 1992, where he also served as the main chief counselor and principal officer. He hosts a daily radio show that airs on both terrestrial radio and Sirius satellite radio. “Jay Sekulow Live!” is the name of this radio station. He has also hosted the weekly television news program “ACLJ This Week.” This show airs on Daystar and Trinity Broadcasting Network.

During Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, he worked as a personal lawyer to President Donald Trump in the early months of 2017.
