Jenny Kim is a Brooklyn, New York-based creative director. The 43-year-old isn’t only a designer; she also spent a year working in a metal shop. According to her CBS profile, Kim used to forge and make metal furniture in the shop. She defined herself as a person who is upfront, forthright, and empathetic. It went on to say that the competitor hates arrogant individuals and enjoys writing, traveling, and watching movies. Only time will tell which of Kim’s qualities will help her remain in the game of Survivor.

Jenny Kim became a certified Pilates teacher as a result of the recession.

Kim is a designer and creative director who is enthusiastic about her work. However, the 2008 recession led to the demise of her design profession, forcing her to alter her course. She went on to become a certified Pilates teacher.

Kim addressed the difficulties and job changes in her CBS profile. It says,

“During such times, I never gave up and, at times, switched gears to a different professional route” (i.e., I became a certified Pilates instructor following the 2008 recession). I am proud of every twist and turn I have taken and can safely declare that I am now a great design leader.”

She referred to her spouse as a hero for motivating her to strive for more and never settle. Kim was reared in South Korea by South Korean parents. She claimed in her introduction video that her mother was harsh on her while she was growing up. She said,

“I was very driven to try my best to be the greatest, so I believe the most difficult element of this game for me will be that I’m not going to be the best at everything.” But that’s why I’m here: to be pleasantly uncomfortably uncomfortable.”

Survivor season 42 will debut on CBS and Paramount+ on Wednesday, March 9 at 8 p.m. ET. The competition series, hosted by Jeff Probst, follows 18 castaways trapped on an island who must overcome obstacles to earn a million-dollar grand prize. The winner is referred to as the Sole Survivor. This season’s remaining castaways include Jackson Fox, Romeo Escobar, Maryanne Oketch, Lindsay Dolashewich, Jonathan Young, Drea Wheeler, Omar Zaheer, Hai Giang, Mike Turner, Lydia Meredith, Chanelle Howell, Tori Meehan, Rocksroy Bailey, Daniel Strunk, Zach Wurtenberger, Swati Goel, and Marya Sherron, in addition to Kim.
