Joseph Edward Root, sometimes known as Joe Root, was born in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England on December 30, 1990. Joe Root is an English right-handed batsman who has been the backbone of the English batting order for more than a decade in Tests and One-Day Internationals. He led England in Tests for five years, winning 27 games. The ECB also named Joe Root to England’s all-time Test XI. The root is regarded as one of the four finest Test cricketers of the decade, with Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, and Steve Smith together dubbed as the Fabulous 4.
