She divorced her husband When Dwyane was four months old.

Wade was a mother of two children by the age of 18. She met Dwyane’s father, Dwyane Sr., at the time, and they married in 1977. They had two children as a result of their marriage: a daughter Tragil and a boy Dwayne. However, she and her spouse split when Dwyane was only four months old and later divorced. She had possession of two children when they separated. Dwyane remained with her until he was eight years old when he moved in with his father and stepmother.

She battled substance abuse for many years before reaching recovery in 2001.

According to Wade, she began imbibing in eighth grade in order to blend in with her friends and later began consuming pot, which became her obsession. She moved in with her children in a dangerous area after she split from her ex-husband and began selling narcotics. She even asked her drug-addicted pals to her house to get euphoric while her children were at school. She recalled nearly dying while shooting up, thinking it was dope, but it wasn’t, and being rushed to the hospital where she was hallucinating.

Her obsession lasted until 1994 when she was jailed for having crack cocaine with the intent to distribute it. She claimed she had a nervous breakdown when young Dwyane unexpectedly paid her a call. Four years later, while she was on a work release from prison, she slipped away and ended up living as a runaway for several years before her daughter Deanna discovered her in an abandoned building. She was soon saved and returned to prison to finish her term.

When she received the note from Dwyane declaring her to be his idol, she learned about God’s mercy. She planned on regaining custody of her family. She became a Believer and began reading the Scriptures. She was released from prison in 2003 and has been sober ever since.

Her participation in substance abuse made her children’s upbringing difficult.

Her involvement in drug addiction made her children’s childhood difficult, particularly Dwyane. His difficult childhood taught him a valuable lesson about his role as a parent to his children. Dwyane said in an interview with People that he lacked discipline as a child. According to him, his parents’ obsession led them down a road that was purely for them and about them, adding that when that occurs, you kind of lose yourself and lose sight of what’s important, and a lot of the time, if you have kids, that’s what should be important.

He stated that, aside from his sister, he missed his parents’ discipline, but he also stated that he does not fault his parents because he knows they have their own lives and journeys. Dwyane says his job as a father is to always guide with compassion. He aspires to be someone his children can always comprehend, who can adjust, and who is eager to develop and learn.

Her total value is presently being calculated. We do, however, have Dwyane Wade’s personal wealth. Dwayne has a staggering $170 million in wealth as of March 2024.
