Joshua Morrow was pondering a career in athletics when a talent scout spotted him at a local mall and booked him modeling jobs with Teen magazine and Nike. Since 1994, he has portrayed Nicholas Newman on the American television soap opera “The Young and the Restless.” His first scenes on Y&R as Nick Newman, who had recently returned home from boarding school, were with Nick’s sister Victoria (then played by Heather Tom).

Morrow auditioned for the role of Dylan Shaw on “The Bold and the Beautiful” before landing the role of Nicholas (he was one of the final two candidates, but he lost that job to Dylan Neal). He was working at a restaurant and still living at home with his mother when he received the job at Y&R. Morrow secured a five-year renewal contract with Y&R in 2002, the first soap contract for that time (before that, the most extended warranty had been for four years).

He was supposed to appear on the 2008 celebrity competition show Secret Talents of the Stars, but the show was canceled. Returning to his profession, he co-founded the musical trio “3Deep” with Eddie Cibrian, his best friend and former Y&R co-star, and CJ Huyer. They released their debut album, “Yes Yes Yes…No No No,” in 1999.

Joshua appeared in the 1997 documentary “My Stepson, My Lover.” He also appeared as a co-star in the independent film “Tentacle 8,” a straight-to-DVD espionage thriller. In 2013, he starred in the movie “Parker,” and in 2015, he starred in another film, “Golden Shoes.”
