Juan Rivera’s Scandals and Brenda

His Wife Juan was arrested for drug possession when he was 17 in February 1995. His time in prison was traumatic, and he became suicidal due to it. He witnessed some atrocities, including the dehumanization of prisoners. For example, in order to humiliate and degrade the convicts, the cooks spat and urinated on food.

Because it was difficult for him to survive in such an environment, the singer considered taking his own life. He pulled himself together, however, and made the best of his situation. He was arrested again a few years after being released from prison. This time, he was imprisoned for illegally carrying firearms, which resulted in two decades in prison.

Juan struggled with alcoholism as a result of his life’s traumas and chaos. He began drinking at the age of 15, and by the time he was 30, he realized he had developed an addiction. Regardless, while the singer was in and out of prison, one person was always by his side: his wife, Brenda. Juan refers to his wife as “the woman who changed him.”

Brenda met the singer when she was 17, and she has changed him for the better. Brenda became pregnant with their first child just six months after they began dating and a few days before Juan was imprisoned. Their relationship was rocky for the first few years, but they did not give up. Instead, they dealt with the situation, and Juan changed himself to be a better partner for Brenda.

The couple married in 2017 after being together for more than two decades. The lovely ceremony was small and intimate, with only close friends and family present. The couple married during the golden hour, with teary eyes and heartfelt vows, and the singer’s older brother, Pedro, officiated as a wedding minister. With their four children, the couple currently resides in California. Juan is focusing on his music career and hopes to carry on his sister’s legacy.
