Jung Joong Ji’s mother confirmed her son’s death on Twitter on September 20, 2022. In the tragic post, she shared a photo of herself clutching her son’s burial photos and said,

” I’m talking about Jung Joong Ji’s mother. Jung Joong Ji, my son, committed suicide. “I’m at a loss for words right now.”

The second image in the tweet displayed the actor’s burial notifications and funeral information, like as dates. The actor’s mother acknowledged that her son committed himself, although the family provided no particular explanation for the actor’s grave choice. The tragic revelation comes amid an alarming number of suicides in South Korea, particularly in the entertainment and K-pop industries.

Netizens are affectionately remembering the late actor.

Fans have been paying respect to the actor on social media. According to the comments, Jung Joon Ji was well-liked and followed by a large number of people.

Jung Joong Ji rose to prominence after appearing on MNET’s Produce 101 Season 2, which gave rise to the K-pop group Wanna One. He was presented as a trainee for Wayz Company.
