Karina Expressed Her Admiration For Son Heung-min After He Won The Golden Boot

Karina

Tottenham Hotspur striker Son Heung-min, perhaps South Korea’s most popular athlete, won another admirer when aespa member Karina voiced her enthusiasm for the player and his recent Premier League Golden Boot achievement. The Golden Boot award is given to the Premier League player who scores the most goals in a season. The trophy in 2022 was split between the Korean player and Liverpool striker Mo Salah. Both have a total of 23 goals at the moment.

Aespa’s Karina expressed her adoration for Son Heung-min. On Bubble

Karina, an aespa member, sent the following remark on the fan community site Bubble on May 23. She said,

“This is just coincidental, but I read that Son Heung Min won the Premier League Golden Boot. Wow, 23 goals is incredible. He’s very great.”

Despite being drowsy, Karina continued to rave over the athlete.

“I’m going to bed right now. Bye (but can you guys watch Son Heung Min score goals? It’s incredible).”

Karina asked aespa supporters to keep following and supporting Korea’s pride, Son Heung-min. Karina is not the only idol to congratulate the sportsman on his accomplishment. BTS member J-Hope also celebrated Son Heung-individual min’s win at the conclusion of the English Premier League’s 2021-22 season with a congratulations message on his official Instagram page. The famous hero also tagged the player in his Instagram story and posted a video of Son Heung-min scoring his season’s last goal.

More on the victory

Son Heung-success, min’s meanwhile, makes him the first Asian player to win the Premier League Golden Boot. On Sunday, the South Korean international scored his 23rd goal against Norwich City. Mo Salah, his co-awardee, also scored 23 goals and assisted 14 times in 35 Premier League games. This will be Mo Salah’s third Golden Boot, having previously won the title for greatest scoring in the 2017-18 season and again the following season.

Son Heung-min

Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United finished third with 18 goals in his first season back in the Premier League, after Heung-min and Salah. While Karina’s appreciation gained her accolades from Koreans all over the world, the same could not be said for fellow aespa member Ningning. During the 2022 Winter Olympics, the Chinese superstar came under fire for cheering on her country’s short track speed skating team, who won their first Olympic gold medal.

The aespa member is from Harbin, the city of China’s far north. While the idol’s love for her homeland is unsurprising, the maknae’s action irritated many South Korean netizens, who claimed that the Chinese opponent used unscrupulous techniques to win the prized gold, beating the Korean athlete.
