Kevin Richardson was born on October 3, 1971, in Kentucky, United States parents to Jerald Wayne Richardson and Ann C. He has two older brothers and is the youngest sibling. He grew up with his siblings on a farm. This had a profound effect on his life. At the age of four, while living on the farm, he started to ride horses. Additionally, he enjoyed different outdoor sports, like riding dirt motorcycles and playing football. After enrolling at Estill County High School, Kevin participated in football and was elected captain of the Estill Engineers.
