Kim Soo-hyun has announced that he is in discussions to star in Queen of Tears (literal translation), a new drama penned by My Love From The Star playwright Park Ji-eun. If the actor accepts the part, it will be their third collaboration, and fans are ecstatic. They previously collaborated on My Love From The Star and The Producers, both of which were huge blockbusters with K-drama fans everywhere.
Kim Soo-agency, hyun’s Gold Medalist, revealed on November 4 that the actor had gotten an official formal letter to feature in Queen Of Tears. The It’s Okay to Not Be Okay actor was reported to rejoin with Park Ji-eun for another program in April 2022. It was, however, unverified at the time, and his agency just recently confirmed the news.
Furthermore, they stated:
“Kim Soo Hyun has received and is now negotiating a casting offer for ‘Queen of Tears.'”
It has not been determined if he will appear or not. However, given the popularity of The Producers and My Love From The Star, the new drama will undoubtedly pique the interest of viewers even before it airs.

Kim Soo-hyun, who last appeared onscreen in 2021 with One Ordinary Day, might make a return soon with a new drama series created by Park Ji-eun. There haven’t been many information released concerning the drama. The director and screenwriter, on the other hand, are already on board. The narrative will be written by Park Ji-eun, who has previously authored The Producers, Crash Landing On You, Legends of the Blue Sea, and My Husband Got A Family.
The drama will be directed by Lee Eung-bok and Kim Hee-won. Fans of Mr. Sunshine, Goblin, Jirisan, and Descendants of the Sun, as well as the first two seasons of Sweet Home, may recognize the former. Meanwhile, the drama will be directed by the latter, who is renowned for Vincenzo, Little Women, The Crowned Clown, and Soundtrack #1.
The cast lineup is a surprise for fans since the main parts have not been confirmed. Park Eun-bin, the female lead, has accepted the offer and is presently speculated to appear in the program. The actress rose to prominence after playing an autistic lawyer in Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Kim Soo-hyun made his acting debut in the 2007 family comedy Kimchi Cheese Slice. With his role in the 2011 drama Dream High, he went on to become a household celebrity.
