Kim Yugyeom was born on November 17, 1997, Kim is a 26-year-old South Korean singer who was born in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province. In an interview, he stated that he was conceived in Saudi Arabia and born in South Korea. Yugyeom moved to Namyangju with his family, where he grew up alongside his older brother.
Education
Yugyeom completed his elementary education at Donong Elementary School before moving on to Migeum Middle School. Kim graduated from Hanlim Arts High School with a major in street dance. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at Taekyung University to pursue a modeling degree. He first met his bandmate Youngjae, who was also studying modeling at the same university, while at Taekyung. Yugyeom is fluent in Korean, Japanese, and a smattering of English and Chinese.

Yugyeom, along with his bandmates Mark, BamBAm, and Jackson, appeared as a trainee in Mnet’s survival show “Who is Next: WIN” in 2013. He made his debut as the main dancer, vocalist, and rapper of the South Korean boy band Got7 with the song ‘Girls Girls Girls’ on January 1, 2014.
Yugyeom and his bandmates also made their acting debut with their web drama ‘Dream Knight.’ He also competed in a dance competition show with other k-pop group dancers, including IOI’s Kim Chungha, Block B’s U-Kwon, SNSD’s Hyoyeon, NCT’s Ten, and MonstX’s Shownu, and won.
