Kyle Shanahan’s Wife Noticed His Maturity After Having Their First Child In 2007

Furthermore, Kyle Shanahan was 27 years old and in a bind when his wife, Mandy, became pregnant with their first child. He worked 12-hour days with the Houston Texans, participating in two practice sessions per day. Mandy wasn’t even certain he’d be present for the delivery. However, he was. On August 7, 2007, he was present to witness the birth of his daughter, Stella Taylor Shanahan. He even “coaxed” the recipient through the delivery. He maintained his composure until she was born. Moreover, he began crying, however, as soon as she was born. Shanahan, according to his wife, also matured following her birth. “He is significantly more responsible,” Mandy stated at the time. Stella became his immediate priority. He did not immediately sense the maturity, however. A month after his daughter was born, he joked, “I still feel like a child.” He felt exactly the same as he had always been.

While Shanahan worked with his team, Mandy was in charge of Stella and her family. He praised his wife for her strength and ability to care for the baby while he was away. Moreover, he was so devoted to his daughter that he occasionally ignored Mandy. He was extremely cautious around her and thought she was “perfection.”

Kyle and Mandy Shanahan’s Married Life

Shanahan and Mandy met while both were students at Denver’s Cherry Creek High School. He was a year older than he was. They began dating immediately following her high school graduation. However, their love story is not without hiccups. They broke up shortly afterward due to their divergent educational paths but remained close friends. It took a tragedy to bring them back together. Shanahan cared for Mandy’s mother, Nancy, when she was diagnosed with cancer in 2001.

Indeed, that was the moment she realized he was the one. She admitted to SFGate that she couldn’t imagine being with anyone else after going through that with him. Shanahan had never considered marrying young. Mandy compelled him to alter his plans in that regard. On July 5, 2005, the couple was married. Stella and Stella became sisters in 2009, shortly after Shanahan and Mandy welcomed their second child, Carter. Given that his given name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., the coach, who is well-known for his love of hip hop, may have named him after Lil Wayne.

Lexi, their third and youngest child, was born in 2013. Shanahan’s job has required his family to relocate frequently. The family has relocated to California, where he is currently employed by the San Francisco 49ers.
