He completed his high school education in 1987 at Bishop Gorman High School in Summerlin, Nevada, a private Catholic preparatory school. He also earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of San Diego in 1991, joining the fraternity Sigma Pi. He also completed his MBA at the Stern School of Business at New York University in 1993. Fertitta wed Teresa, and the two are parents to three children.

Lorenzo Fertitta and his brother Frank Fertitta succeeded in their father’s casino business.
