Marquise enrolled at Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory School, where he participated in track and football.
At the Florida High Schools Athletic Association’s 2A District 15 regional championship track meet, he improved his 100-meter time to 10.90 seconds. He set a personal best in the 200 meters with a time of 21.94 seconds. Marquise committed to her College of the Canyons for the 2016 season after being rejected by Division 1 schools. He supported himself by working at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
After a year at College of the Canyons, Marquise received numerous Division 1 scholarship offers before committing to Oklahoma. He started all thirteen games and finished eighth all-time in single-season receiving yards during his freshman year at Oklahoma.
