Career

When Tisto discovered Garrix at the age of fourteen, he launched his career. His first tracks, BFAM and ‘Just Some Loops,’ were collaborations with Julian Jordan and TV Noise, respectively. His first release on ‘Spinnin’ Records,’ ‘Error 404,’ with Jay Hardway, was in 2012. In 2013, he released Torrent with Sidney Samson on Tisto’s own label, Musical Freedom. The same year, he released his first hit single, ‘Animals,’ which was also his first solo effort. With this song, Garrix became the youngest artist to ever reach the top of the electronic music store, ‘Beatport.’ He released another song with Hardway, titled ‘Wizard,’ in 2013. Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb featured this song. ‘Helicopter,’ Garrix’s collaboration with Firebeatz, remained at the top of ‘Beatport’ for two weeks in a row. Garrix was given the honor of headlining the ‘Ultra Music Festival’ for the first time in 2014.
