Matthew David Cameron, better known as Matt Cameron, is a well-known American musician. He is well-known for his work as a drummer for Pearl Jam. He began with Seattle, Skin Yard, and Bam Bam before becoming known as Soundgarden’s drummer.
In his eleven years with Soundgarden (1986-1997), he appeared on every studio album released by the band. Following the band’s dissolution in 1997, he joined Pearl Jam in 1998 and became a permanent member of the band group. Matt Cameron was born and raised in the city of San Diego, California. As a child, he began playing the drums at an early age. He and his classmates were members of the cover band “Kiss.” He was only thirteen years old at the time. Cameron graduated from Bonita Vista High School. Cameron sang the song “Puberty Love” in 1978, which was featured in the film Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. Cameron has one older brother, Pete.
