Mia Morris- One Of The Contestant Of “America Got Talent”

In Episode 5, viewers of America’s Got Talent (AGT) saw very gifted musician Mia Morris compete in the audition round. The Nashville-based musician is a multi-instrumentalist who can play the drums as well as the guitar. Her live performance captivated both the judges and the live crowd.

On this week’s edition of the reality talent show, the singer was one of many AGT candidates that auditioned. She also composes her own songs, singing, recording, playing various instruments, mixing, and finishing everything herself. There is no question about her incredible skill. The 17-year-old performer pleased judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum.

Mia Morris’ parents are from Indianapolis. Although the AGT competitor does not come from a musical household, her parents recognized her talent at an early age. She started drumming at the age of ten and studied with Indianapolis percussionist Wade Parrish. Her parents urged her to go to Nashville after discovering her potential. In an interview with Main Street Nashville, the singer claimed that it was her father who initially recognized her interest in drumming and purchased her a drum kit. She believes rock to be one of her favorite genres, especially because playing rock tunes on the drums is enjoyable.

The musician is a multi-instrumentalist who composes music from scratch. The AGT candidate writes, sings, plays instruments handles mixing, records, and produces all of her own songs. Aside from drums, she is an excellent guitarist. Mia has toured with Big Machine’s Calista Clark and appeared on Ryan and Kelly’s live chat program. She also appeared alongside American rock and country music singer-songwriter Kalie Shorr at The Grand Ole Opry, country music’s greatest stage. She also composed and performed a duet with young singer Bailey James.

The AGT competitor does not sing for a certain label or producer since she does not want to lose her creative capacity as an independent artist. Mia has a modest workshop in her basement where she works her magic. She mentioned that she has a strong network of pals that assist her with songwriting ideas.

Mia claimed in an interview with blog writer Bethany Bowman that she was mentored by session musician Stephen Curry, who introduced her to talented composers. Every week, she would rehearse creating three to four songs for them. She stated how her rage manifested itself in her songs, saying:

“We came to the conclusion that songwriting is my means of releasing all of my inner rages so that I may be a happy person all of the time because all of my furies is channeled into my music.”

The AGT candidate has over 50K YouTube subscribers and over 24K Instagram followers, where she informs them about her songs, mash-ups, performances, and other activities. Fu2, Melodramatic, Gotta be Something, Don’t Do Sorry, and others are among her major tracks.

 

Season 17 of America’s Got Talent included some exceptionally talented participants, living up to the show’s reputation as the most popular reality talent competition on television. Avery Dixon, Sara James, Madison Baez, and Mayyas are among the contestants who have already won golden buzzers from presenter Terry Crews and three of the judges. Heidi Klum has yet to get hers.
