Milos Raonic was born on December 27, 1990, in Titograd, SR Montenegro, SFR Yugoslavia. His family moved to Canada in search of better employment opportunities. Dusan Raonic, Raonic’s father, and Vesna Raonic, Raonic’s mother, are both engineers. He is thirty years old.

He is the younger of two brothers and sisters. His uncle, Branimir Gvozdenovic, served as Deputy Prime Minister in the Montenegrin government as well.

His tennis career began at the age of seven when he attended a week-long tennis camp led by coach Steve Gibson at Bramalea Tennis Club in Brampton. Years later, he trained both independently and with his father. Moving on, Raonic worked tirelessly for nearly nine years. His family encouraged him to pursue tennis, and he reduced his class load to devote more time to practice. Milos also attended Thornhill Secondary School.
