Nischelle Turner Will Be Featured As A Host On “Secret Celebrity Renovations”

Nischelle Turner of Entertainment Tonight will host the second season of Secret Celebrity Renovation, in which she will assist renowned people in making a great gesture by giving a surprise makeover to the houses of individuals who have helped them climb the success ladder. Turner is a CNN Entertainment and New Day reporter stationed in New York. She joined the network in 2011, became a reporter for Entertainment Tonight in 2014, and was appointed co-host in 2021. So far, the 46-year-old journalist and broadcaster have received four Emmy Awards.

This year, the Secret Celebrity Renovation host co-hosted the 49th Daytime Emmy Awards with Kevin Fraizer. Secret Celebrity Renovation Season 2 will premiere on CBS on July 22, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET. This season, Turner will be joined by interior designer Sabrina Soto and Survivor star Rob Mariano.

Turner was born in Columbia, Missouri, on February 11, 1975, and was raised by her mother and extended family. She attended Rock Bridge Elementary for elementary and secondary school. After dropping out of the University of Kentucky in her junior year to pursue a career in journalism, she graduated from the University of Missouri in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and broadcast media news. Turner’s first employment was as a fill-in anchor and reporter for WEHT, an ABC station in Indiana.

She began working as a daily reporter and weekend anchor for WVUE-TV FOX8 in New Orleans in 2002. Nischelle relocated to Los Angeles in 2004 and began working for KTTV. She worked at KTTV as a reporter on Good Day LA and as an anchor on Good Day LA Weekend. Turner returned to New Orleans after Good Day LA to cover Hurricane Katrina, which earned her multiple journalistic accolades. In 2007, the Secret Celebrity Renovation presenter began working as a sideline reporter for Fox NFL Sunday, in addition to covering baseball and basketball.

After two years at Fox, she took over as presenter of Extra, in Essence, an online entertainment program concentrating on Hollywood’s greatest stars, in 2009. Her status as a presenter provided her with several opportunities in the entertainment sector, finally propelling her to the red carpet. The CNN network’s president, Jeff Zucker, was so pleased by Nischelle Turner’s work that he offered her a full-time job as an entertainment reporter and even granted Turner her own program in New York in 2011.

During her tenure at CNN, she rose to prominence as a result of her coverage of Whitney Houston’s death. When Jeff Zucker recommended that she do both programs when Entertainment Tonight offered her a position on the opposite side of the nation in 2014. She accepted and began working full-time for Entertainment Tonight while also contributing to CNN’s entertainment programs.

Turner is the first woman of color to be appointed as an Entertainment Tonight co-host in the show’s 40-year history. This is also the first time ET has been completely anchored by individuals of color, such as Nischelle Turner and Kevin Frazier. Turner presently co-hosts a podcast called The Big Podcast with Shaquille O’Neal. She aggressively promotes representation in the business so that young people, particularly people of color, may see someone who looks like them on-screen.

Nischelle Turner will anchor the return of Secret Celebrity Renovation on the CBS network on July 22. Sabrina Soto will be on her team for the second time alongside Boston Rob, who served as a celebrity in Season 1. Shaquille O’Neal, Nathan Chen, Debbie Gibson, and Kandi Burruss are among the celebrities that will surprise their loved ones with a covert house remodel this season.
