Every able-bodied male resident between the ages of 18 and 31 in South Korea is required to serve in the military for two years. The length of time can vary based on the section to which a person has been assigned. As stated in the regulation, “able-bodied” male citizens with serious underlying illnesses are excused from military service.

According to the statement:

Fans were disappointed by the agency’s remark because they had not anticipated the news. They turned to social media to voice their dissatisfaction and sadness. While some wished him success and hoped him well in his training, others said they would wait for his return to the South Korean entertainment world. The agency also informed supporters that there will be no special gathering on the day of Ong Seong-wu’s induction. They also urged that fans abstain from visiting and that fans refrain from coming in order to prevent any kind of gridlock.
In South Korea, the admittance rite for the employment training facility is regarded as a private affair. As a result, the organization does not want any disruption when the troops’ families say farewell to their boys. The message ended with an appeal for affection and support for Ong Seong-wu.
