Career

Following the completion of his education, Prince William was chosen and admitted to the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, where he was commissioned as Second Lieutenant. He also served in the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy. He began training to be a helicopter pilot in 2009 and served with the RAF’s search and rescue missions until September 2013. In 2015, he was an Air Ambulance pilot. He served in the Royal Navy and was involved in a variety of Navy missions.

His public responsibilities included a tour of Wales, where he opened a homeless center in 2003. He traveled to New Zealand to take part in World War II commemorations. He accompanied the Duke of Kent to the 21st World Scout Jamboree in July 2007. He traveled to Australia to see flood-affected areas in Queensland and Victoria, as well as to Canada to celebrate Canada Day. In September 2011, he visited a UNICEF center in Denmark that provided food to malnourished African children.
