Career
Radoslav Nesterovic began his basketball career in 1992 and retired in 2011. After joining Partizan in 1992, he began playing professionally. He became a Greek citizen in 1993 and joined PAOK. Prior to entering the NBA, he played for Union Olimpija in 1995 and Kinder Bologna in 1997. He entered the NBA after being picked in the 1988 NBA draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
After four complete seasons, he was given a 12-million-dollar deal, but he declined and joined the San Antonio Spurs. He joined the Spurs in 2003 and won the NBA championship with them. Due to an ankle ailment, Radoslav has missed numerous games. On June 21, 2006, he was traded to the Toronto Raptors, where he was given the moniker Nestea. He was dealt to the Indiana Pacers on July 9, 2008, but returned to the Raptors on July 30, 2009. Nesterovic then signed a two-year deal with Greek League superpower Olympiacos, although he was quickly dismissed in July 2011. He then left professional basketball. He was elected to the FIBA commission of players in 2015.
